Francesco Careri

Stalker – Osservatorio Nomade

Francesco Careri (1966) is an architect and professor
affiliated to the department of architecture (Dipartimento di Architettura) at
the university Roma Tre. Since 1995, he is founding member of the urban art
laboratory Stalker/ Observatoire Nomade with which he experiments methods of
creative intervention in the informal multicultural city Rome; first at the
Campo Boario, afterwards Corviale with studies and projects about the
micro-transformations done by the inhabitants. Since 2006, he is professor of
the class Civic Arts at the architecture faculty of Rome, an optional course
which is entirely itinerant (nomadic) to analyze and interact in situ with
emergent phenomena in the urban context. Since 2012, he is director of the
Master Arti Architettura Città, and at the moment of the Master Environmental
Humanities.
