FS 2018 SEMINAR WEEK
HANS WALTER MÜLLER. LIVING IN INFLATABLE STRUCTURES
The seminar week takes place in Zürich, where the students will meet Hans Walter Müller.
Architect, engineer and artist, he has been living in his self-designed and built house in la Ferté-Alais near Paris for more than 40 years. Considering an inflatable structure as a
“simple skin that contains a space, separates outside and inside, appears and disappears”, he still experiments new ways of living, for all types of programs: church, theater, shopping center, fashion show, etc. During this week, the students will hold a workshop with him to develop one of these lightweight structures. The goal of this research will be to explore other housing conditions, far away from traditional concepts.
